Summer Fun

Wow July was a fun month!!! Fourth of July was a blast. Bryce loved the fireworks and little Landon slept right through all the booms. Bryce also got to go to Dutch Wonderland with me and Kyle and then Sesame Place with Nana and Pappy Rankin. He loves rides, slides, and the water parks.

Our boys hit some major milestones over the past week. I still can't believe it but...... Bryce is actually using the potty!!!!!! He isn't totally toilet trained yet but he's doing #1's and #2's on a consistent basis. I'm hoping we can soon try out some pull-ups and big boy underpants (who knows if this is really it or if the boy will decide tomorrow that he is done with the potty!) He also got new spiderman glasses and is doing a great job wearing them. He is really into coloring and playing with his cars and trucks. His vocabulary continues to improve (he is getting re-evaluated by early intervention tomorrow to see if he qualifies for more support). He had his 2 year check up and is weighing in at 27 lbs (25%) not too bad for a preemie. Doc said he looks great physically and developmentally. His new favorite thing to do is make cousin Tristan crack up (Bryce is Tristan's hero)

Landon got his first tooth over the weekend! Once again mommy was caught way off guard. He seems way to little to be doing this (5 1/2 months). He continues to be the best baby ever!!!! He is now playing a lot with the tone of his voice and loves to hear himself make noises. He also is starting to find his older brother funny and laughs at him. He is eating all fruits and most veggies and is huge (at least compared to his big brother) I had to put him into some 12 month clothes already. He has a doc appt. at the end of the month so I'll keep you posted on his weight.

***FYI Tristan is crawling!!!! and is into everything!!!!

Kyle continues to be the World's best daddy!!! He started studying for his Professional Engineer's test (not fun and hard to do with 2 little ones and a wife who wants some adult conversation at the end of the day) Please continue to pray for him and this big event (October).

I'm doing well. My kiddos continue to astonish and amaze me on a daily basis. I started attending the NICU parent support group last month and am really enjoying it. I also am now an official donor for the International Milk Bank. I donated to the National Milk Bank when I had Bryce and now I'm trying this one. If you are interested in it (it's an amazing organization) go to http://www.breastmilkproject.org/ This is a very new concept for Pennsylvania and I would love it if one day I could somehow help to bring awareness to York PA.
