Feb. 2010

Wow it's been since Sept. since I wrote on here! A lot has changed with my kiddos in 5 months. As you can see from the pics we just took a vacation to Disney World for 5 days. We went during the Vogt trip to China so we (with the help of Gammie and Aunt Sharon) took 3 kids (ages 3, 2, 1) to Disney and survived!!! It was actually an awesome experience and I would do it again in a heart beat (although last Monday with flight cancellations/delays/lay-overs I would not have said this!) Bryce was at a wonderful age (he really got into all the "magic" of Disney and was in shock and awe the entire trip) It is now Day 3 of being home and he is just now talking and talking and talking about what he saw and did. Landon and Tristan were a bit young to really "get" it but they still had fun. All in all I couldn't have asked for the boys to be any better behaved (they really did super with missing naps, being on crazy schedules, staying up late, and eating out a lot!)

We only attempted Magic Kingdom one day and Animal Kingdom another day (and that was plenty for our crew!) We LOVED Magic Kingdom and the best part of going in Feb was there was no lines!! We got on every ride we wanted to and got to see 2 parades and fire works at night. It was cold (20 below their average this time of year) so we were bummed a bit that we couldn't go swimming as planned.

We stayed at the Animal Kingdom Lodge (sooooo cool!) The boys got to see all sorts of animals right from our resort's balconies. We also got to experience African culture with the sites and sounds all around.

The plane flight to Florida was basically a disaster. We didn't even get to our resort until Midnight (oh it was interesting trying to keep our boys occupied) but the flight home was so much better (non-stop) and no delays! Landon and Tristan didn't seem to mind flying at all. Bryce was a little anxious during his first flight to Florida but he was a pro by the time we flew back home and sat staring out the window the entire trip. All 3 got their very first set of "wings"

We were asked on a daily basis if the boys were triplets (or if Landon and Tristan were twins) It probably didn't help that they were dressed a like every day (more for trying to keep an eye on all 3)

As for my boys, they are growing and developing like crazy! Bryce is becoming very inquisitive (asking why and what's that) a lot. His speech is phenomenal and his memory puts mine to shame. I just recently spoke with his pre-school teacher and she seems to think that he will definately be ready for kindergarten on time (I thought being a summer boy he would be held back) She said he is very mature for a 3 year old and is easy going and very intelligent :-) So I just registered him for 5 day preschool (only 2.5 hours a day) for next school year. I'm going to be so sad to see my baby go every day but I know it's for the best and to make 100% sure that he's ready for Kindergarten the following year.

Landon is now 2 (Minnie sang happy birthday to him on our trip) He is babbling up a storm these days. His speech is drastically improving but he is still behind and is still getting weekly therapy. Although he is definitely on the verge of really wanting to speak. He is still very lovable and snuggly. He is really into play now and just loves cars and trains. We got him a very cool red race car big boy bed (but I'm not sure yet when will start that transition. He loves to sing (so much that if he is throwing a fit usually a round of Old McDonald will end it!)

We also started noticing that both boys are really starting to "play" more together. It's so nice to see that they are starting to become best friends. When Landon isn't around Bryce always asks where Landon is. Oh don't get me wrong they still do fight :-) just not as much!
